Ohio is no stranger to Bigfoot sightings and is thought to be home to aptly named Grassman. Or what some believe is a type of Sasquatch that builds large grass covered huts in the forest. Whether this is the reason or not local forestry officals and ecologists have yet to offer another theory for the strange phenomen.

The rather questionable video was filmed in Salt Fork State Park, where an earlier sighting in () occured.

The video was captured on a drone using a GoPro Hero7 Black, GoPro Hero8 Black, the DJI Mavic Air, and a DJI Mavic Mini. Facts, which the two men eagerly provided. As a camera guy myself, I understand the love of talking about gear, but when paired with the fact that it’s posted to their monetized YouTube channel that has otherwise low views you’ve got to wonder how much of this was clickbait.

They’ve now done a follow-up video as well with their purported evidence. My problem with the video is that it appears heavily edited, with the addition of music, and the fact that even though it was shot with drones they stayed as far away as possible and only shot the “bigfoots” back.

And the “bigfoot” captured in the film simply looks like a guy bundled up walking up a hill. As always here is the video so that you can judge for yourself.

There’s been a trend these last couple of years on YouTube to post rather misleading videos about cryptological or paranormal experiences to drum up views for channels, everything from Hollywood quality possession stories, fake dybbuk box experiences, and terrible CGI has been used to mislead people into thinking that what they’re seeing is real. Then when enough people pile on with their own experiences the videos tend to go viral long enough to reward these bad actors.

While I’m not saying that the above videos are fake. I’m just saying that when viewing stuff like this on YouTube and other platforms where people are rewarded for sensational content, you should be prepared to view it all through a more skeptical lense.
