Lonnie's Bar — Assistant General Manager
Duties include but not limited to:
Floor Supervision
- Run pre-shift meetings; oversee opening/closing procedures, schedule, and cuts
- Ensure menus and Toast (pricing, availability, buttons) are accurate
- Jump in as needed: run food/drinks, bus tables, restock, manage turn times
- Relay communication between kitchen and FOH (allergies, complaints, seating needs)
- Send a concise EOD summary email to management; handle deliveries and comps
Reservations (Resy)
- Monitor emails/calls for reservation requests, current and upcoming shifts
- Balance sections across servers; coordinate with host on max seating without overwhelming staff/kitchen
- Review VIP notes and allergies pre-shift; ensure host-server-kitchen communication
FOH Team Management
- Train new hires on hospitality standards and wine/cocktail/food program proficiency
- Escalate issues to GM; document incidents via EOD emails
- Address performance issues privately and respectfully (no public call-outs)
- Reassign tables or staff as conflicts arise; enforce shift drink policy
Guest Experience
- Anticipate guest needs; recognize VIPs/regulars and apply comp policy accordingly
- Personally resolve customer complaints (in person or via email) promptly
- Build regular-guest relationships alongside bar/server/host staff
Wine & Bar Knowledge (PM shifts)
- Stay current on inventory, sold-out items, BTG changes, and wine locations/pairings
- Brief bartenders pre-service on new cocktails/beer changes; ensure staff is informed
Staff Education
- Circulate allergy matrix updates and new wine/cocktail spec sheets
- Coordinate with Chef on info sheets for new menu items
Facilities & Compliance
- Report repairs/equipment issues to kitchen counterpart and GM
- Maintain dining room and basement cleanliness
- Coordinate supply orders (linens, glassware, cleaning supplies)
- Oversee espresso machine maintenance and staff training
- Enforce DOH compliance across floor, bathrooms, bar, and service stations
- Support GM/Owners on HR matters; document staff concerns via email
Three Point Person / MOD
Compensation: $43/hour, Saturday and Sunday only.
- Work the floor as swing FOH: greet/seat guests, run food/drinks, pour wine, take orders
- Keep POS updated; maintain and reprint clean menus as needed
- Liaise between kitchen, bar, and dining room
- Answer seating inquiries and phone calls; manage waitlist
- Handle all comps; take IG photos
- Bus/clean tables; wash and restock glassware
- Flag FOH issues (conduct, tardiness, mistakes) to the Dining Room MOD rather than handling directly
- Spot-check DOH compliance (open drinks, wet rags, etc.)
- Report facility issues to GM; maintain ambiance (temperature, lighting, volume)
- Check in with staff before cutting them to ensure smooth, on-time departures
- Send a brief EOD summary
